Pench Foundation

Pench Tiger Reserve Conservation Foundation was established on 1st October 2008. The main aim of the Foundation is to facilitate and support the Tiger Reserve management in biodiversity conservation efforts through multi-stakeholder participation consistent with the national and state policies, Acts, Rules and Legislations. The scope of the Foundation is not the Tiger Reserve alone but the landscape in which it is embedded. The Foundation is envisaged as a ‘Government-owned Public Trust’ by combining the authority of the Government and flexibility of a good Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). This amalgamation of authority and flexibility is one of the core values of the Pench Tiger Conservation Foundation.Pench Tiger Reserve Conservation Foundation was established on 1st October 2008. Projects handled by Pench Tiger Reserve Conservation Foundation
Many projects on Biodiversity conservation and rural livelihood development have been carried out by foundations such as BCRLIP project funded by the World Bank and Project under the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Pench landscape. A program under the National Adaptation Fund for Climate Change about Eco-restoration of degraded habitat and livelihood generation eith total outlay of 2163 lakhs for 2019-20 to 2023-24 is under progress.
