Nestling in the lower, southern reaches of the Satpura Mountain ranges, is the home of “Mougli”-‘ Pench Tiger Reserve’, (PTR) situated in the northern part of eastern Vidharbha and is spread across the areas of Ramtek, Parseoni and Saoner tehsils of Nagpur District (Maharashtra).

Starting from December 29, 2023, Paramotoring and hot air baloon have commenced in the Kolitmara buffer village, Pench Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra. Kolitmara village hosting these activities is blessed with scenic natural beauty offering tourists the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the open blue sky and surroundings. Paramotoring, a form of adventure sport, involves gliding with a motorized parachute, reaching heights of up to 400 feet in the sky.

Pench Tiger Reserve has become India's first and Asia's fifth Dark Sky Park, highlighting the importance of preserving natural darkness for conservation and community well-being. This designation aims to combat light pollution and promote the enjoyment of star-filled skies. The reserve, in partnership with the Wagholi Eco Development Committee, will offer educational and observational opportunities for stargazers and nature enthusiasts, with activities typically held at night.

The white rocky surfaces closely resemble The Kailash Parvat (where mythologically, Lord Shiva resides) without the snow. Set up like a maze, these rocks have the pristine Pench River flowing through them, which adds to their charm.
