Pench Tiger Reserve is trying to reduce the forest dependence of the locals by providing alternative livelihood to local communities which will enhance their living standards along with help in protecting and conserving the wild life.
2 Months inhouse Hospitality training programme at Pench Tiger Reserve is being carried out in association with Pratham NGO. Till now, more than 1000 tribal students have been trained and placed in various high star rating hotels and restaurants .
Van Adhyapak is Program of Pench Tiger Reserve aimed at
educating the students belonging to Primary and Secondary
education forest wildlife and environment related issues.
The Program aims to create a generation of youth who are
versed with aforementioned issue and enhancing the relation
between forest department and villages vital for the long term
conservation goals.
The training is being imparted through the school teachers and
the staff of forest department on voluntarily basis.
Pench has been able to keep the electrocution of the wildlife under control through the unique Pench electrocution model.
It involves the participation of various stakeholders such as the electricity department, wildlife wing, territorial wing of the forest department, villagers, and NGOs for prevention and action.
Nisarganubhav is an educational awareness Programme of Pench Tiger Reserve where school children are brought to pench for increasing awareness about forest conservation, wildlife protection, various competitions, activities and safari are organised by forest department.
